Hiya! Greetings from an average teenager! I decided to hit it up Japanese style, so I made this Hello Kitty bento box! You probably want to have a bento box to start with, but this is a really fun... (and i'm not sayin easy)... dinner to make. Here are some handy things you might want to purchase prior to making this:
A hello kitty rice mold (for the head)
A seaweed puncher(this is kind of optional, it's for the face)
A bento box
Just whip up an egg in a cup, add any color food coloring, and then fry it on the pan like a crepe, but thicker and without flour. This will be used as the kimono. You might want to go on YouTube for a video on how this is done, because I'm afraid I'm not the best at it... (it took me FOREVER to make this one). Then you take some colorful vegetables and cut them up, putting them on some lettuce on the bottom of the bento box. Cook some white sticky rice, let it cool, and press it into the mold. Lay it on the bottom of the box, like in my picture. Then just form a body and arms made out of rice, and place them together in the box, along with the head. Put the kimono (if you've figured out how to make it) on top of the body... don't worry about legs. Then cut some vegetables and maybe some cheese, and decorate your Hello Kitty! Simple enough right? Heh-Heh... P.S., if you don't like taking directions, you can just look at the picture and figure out how to make it... good luck with that! Hee-Hee!
